GRAVE MARKING CEREMONY NOVEMBER 21, 2010

A joint grave marking ceremony between the Richmond Chapter, VASSAR and the War of 1812 Society in the Commonwealth of Virginia took place at the Shockoe Hills cemetery in Richmond, Virginia on November 21, 2010.

The program and photographs taken are shown. The War of 1812 Society grave markers were unveiled by President Jack Maxwell and Registrar Hank Howells. The SAR grave markers were unveiled by Chapter President Taylor Cowardin and officers of his chapter. Members of the Richmond Chapter in Revolutionary War attire gave the Musket Salute. Many chapters of VASSAR and other Societies presented wreaths as shown on the accompanying program.
